As a Sound Design Intern, you will support the creation and integration of audio elements for our game projects. You will work alongside the team to learn, practice, and contribute to the development of high-quality sound assets.
The daily life of a Sound Design Intern at Lanterns:
- Assist in designing audio assets and implementing sound effects and music in-game.
- Participate in recording, editing, mixing music, SFX, and dialogues, and help implement sound assets in the game (UE).
- Support field recording sessions as needed.
- Playtest the game regularly and help identify opportunities to improve audio quality.
- Collaborate with the Design, Art, and Engineering teams to contribute to the overall audio experience of the game.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job skills
What it takes to make it:
- A motivated individual who learns quickly and works well independently.
- Basic knowledge of audio and music production or editing tools.
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine or middlewares like Wwise and Fmod is a plus.
- Interest in developing solid sound design and implementation skills.
- Independent, organized, and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Highly adaptable, especially regarding quality expectations and time constraints, with strong attention to detail.
Additional required skills:
- Good organization and time-management skills, deadline-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written), able to ask for help when needed and share information proactively.
- A strong interest in video game culture.
- Self-motivated and agile, open to new ideas, direction, and changes, and always attentive to teammates.
